How To Start A Blog Using Mobile Phone?
You drive a bus – everyone nearby is on their smartphones. Everywhere you watch, people seem to use their phones non-stop.
Today, you can do anything only just using this small device. Smartphones can manage so much information, apps, and software that we don’t have a need in using a laptop most of the time. Smartphones are also very helpful and lightweight, which is also a big advantage for those who have to travel a lot carrying different devices.
I never deemed that it’s possible to use a phone for business, and using it for writing articles, editing and correcting them was beyond my expectations. And I never imagined that I would eventually start working my own blog from my smartphone. The only few of years ago it looked so hard to type a blog post on your smartphone, but with voice identification systems it got easier to describe your text than to type it.
Smartphone statistics is astounding: the number of smartphone users is suspected to reach 2.87 billion people by 2020. These numbers are very fair, and to my opinion, the total number will be way higher.
Due to the fast evolution of technology, ...
... smartphones have almost turned into small computers that can fit in your pocket. They are super handy and fully operative. And even if you’re a blogger and fully depend on your computer, you can easily shift your blog to your smartphone and use it from wherever you want.
The entire idea of blogging from your phone still seems off to you?
Want some sensible advice on how to start operating your blog individually from your smartphone?
Let’s take a look at some suggestions and apps you can use for smartphone blogging as well.
#1 Make Your Blog Running over Social Media
Social Media Marketing
has become a primary part of our regular life. Everyone talks about social media obsession but it has become rather a need than just a thing to play with. Social media platforms have given us the capability to increase business and interact with large audiences.
If you’re operating a blog, the first thing you can do on your smartphone is making it live with the help of social media. Re-posting your blog posts, making posts on social media – it all can be done on your smartphone. Moreover, most platforms and the characteristics are only available through smartphone apps, so start using your phone more to execute your blog live on social media.
#2 Analysis
Reportedly, in 2018 the amount of mobile search engine users has touched 207.6 million only in the U.S. It’s helpful to use a smartphone on the go and look up something on the Internet.
You can do your blog article study from your smartphone as well, as it’s also a part of operating a blog. Smartphone browsers also enable you to save the pages and organize bookmarks, so it’s no another from using a laptop for doing the analysis.
#3 Reply to Comments
Interacting with your followers is necessary, both on social media and below your blog posts. Often bloggers don’t have time to respond to comments, but you can do that whenever you have some time to save and have the way to your smartphone.
#4 Voice-to-text Articles
Thankfulness to the characteristic of recording voice to text you now tell the blog post right to your phone without having to touch-type anything.
You can also create a draft of a post by telling it to your phone and then shifting it to your laptop. Apps like Evernote or Microsoft OneNote enable you to sync your data with any different connected devices. This way you can not only keep building blog articles on the go, but you can also put everything in one site.
#5 Plan Your Content
By practicing the same kind of apps I discussed in the previous point you can also plan your future content, brainstorm on points and create frameworks. Again, smartphones are very handy and it’s very comfortable to use them on the go, so whenever you have a thought, you can pop up your phone and put the concept down so you don’t misremember it.
Blogging Apps for Your Smartphone
If you’ve selected to start operating your blog only from your phone, you want to adapt your smartphone by keeping and downloading apps that will suit your requirements.
To start working your blog individually from a smartphone, you want to consider managing the following apps:
1) Blogging Platform
If you previously have a blog you’ve started from your laptop, I extremely recommend continuing using the host platform as it will enable you to shift everything to a mobile variant and save all your articles. You also need a domain and hosting to start your own blog. There are platforms where you can get a Free Domain Name
and cheap hosting services.
However, if you’re just going started, there are a lot of choices for you:
WordPress: It’s a well-known platform that allows you everything you require for blogging. There are various plugins and tools at your control, and there’s even a guide you can download and learn if you want to study more about the WordPress platform. You will be capable to use the WordPress mobile App for blogging.
Blogger: Owned by Google, this platform is simpler to use than WordPress, but it also doesn’t have a lot of the characteristics that WordPress has. However, it’s an excellent platform for beginners, as it allows all the basic blogging traits.
Wix: This is a comparatively new platform compared to the earlier two. It uses simple “drag and drops” tools, so building a blog is very easy. It has a mobile editor and different tools you can access from your smartphone, so it’s a nice platform to work if you want to start working your blog individually from your smartphone. The platform is also SEO friendly, It gives a tool called Wix SEO Wiz.
2) Text Editors
When operating a blog from your smartphone, you require at least one other app to edit and proofread your posts. Those who use WordPress editor can know me: it doesn’t forever do the job the way you require it.
I myself prefer using Google Docs on my smartphone as I’m already well-known with the interface after practicing these programs on my computer. You can opt for any additional text editor, it’s all about what you’re satisfied with and what you require from an app.
3) Graphic Content Editors
We all know that a blog post will look dull if you don’t add any images to it. It may look hard to edit a photo for your blog from a smartphone but it’s even simpler than creating it from your laptop. All photo editing apps come with an interface that is very simple to use, so don’t be worried that it will give you a tough time.
These are 1 of my favorites:
PicMonkey: This is a great editing tool you can use from your smartphone. It has a lot of helpful features like building a collage, editing a photo, using pictures to create cool designs, etc.
VSCO: This is an expert photo editing app that has tonnes of great filters for your pictures. Some of them aren’t free, but there are still tons of choices that enable you to build a beautiful image for your next blog post.
Operating a Blog Individually From Your Phone Is Possible!
I know that the entire idea appears intimidating: a phone is pretty small to handle the stress of operating a blog from it. However, technology enables us to do it and, in some ways, it has made it even simpler to operate a blog from your phone than from a computer. Hopefully, the suggestions I mentioned in this article will help you get more trust and give the entire idea a try.
