Cosmetic surgery is more commonly identified as plastic surgery. But medical surgeons call it aesthetic surgery. It originated from the Greek word plastikē (tekhnē) which means the ability of modeling the malleable flesh or the skin and tissues. Aesthetic surgery is utilized to reform and improve the appearance of the skin. Deformities brought on by burns, fractures, or accidental injuries are corrected or minimized by means of these types of procedures.
