Oro Verde Scuba Diving

The Oro Verde shipwreck located in Grand Cayman has been a favorite location for scuba divers from the time when she was reefed on May 31, 1980 by the Camanian government. The vessel a cable laying freighter lies in approximately 50 feet of water a short distance off Seven Mile Beach. The shipwreck has deteriorated a lot from the time of her reefing, largely because of a number of hurricanes that struck the Cayman islands in the last 30 years. The wreckage at present is scattered across a broad area and only the bow still intact.(read
