Grand Cayman Wreck Diving - Uss Kittiwake

This is the top wreck dive in Grand Cayman and one of the top ten in the Caribbean. The USS Kittiwake which was sunk a less than two years ago and the dive site is aging very well. The ship has five decks, is 251.6 ft (76.7 m) in length, 42ft (12.8 m) in beam and around 50 feet high. The vessel was built specifically for submarine rescue and was christened on July 10, 1945 and which was sunk in Grand Cayman in January 2011.(read

Oro Verde Shipwreck

The Oro Verde shipwreck in Grand Cayman has been a preferred site for scuba divers from the time when the ship was reefed on May 31, 1980 by the Cayman government. The vessel a cable laying freighter rests in approximately 50 feet of water just off Seven Mile Beach. The shipwreck has deteriorated a lot from the time of her reefing, chiefly as a result of a number of hurricanes which hit the island within the previous 30 years.
