Lions Offense Can Make Noise

The Detroit Lions did not win a game two season ago. Last year was not much better, although they did increase their win production by 200 percent, improving to 2-14. While that mark is still abysmal, they were able to score Nmadukong Suh, defensive tackle from Nebraska. While that addition will help the defense out immensely, it is the Lions offense that has fans excited. And, for good reason. Through the last three NFL drafts, the Lions have slowly put together a three headed monster, one that can eventually evolve into one of the biggest threats in the NFL.(read

South Carolina Won't Protest

While the school is obviously hoping that it does not come down to it, the South Carolina Gamecocks have stated that they do not plan to protest potential penalties - say that three times fast - that may incur if the school is found to be in violation of NCAA rules. The allegations have stemmed from a party in South Beach last May, attended by tight end Weslye Saunders and a few other players. Their attendance in the party was question, and the school had also found out that he and several other players had been staying at a hotel.(read

James To Play For Oregon

Although running back LaMichael James is a crucial part to the Oregon Ducks offense, and their hopes this season, they did not have much trouble without him in a rout of New Mexico by a whopping 72-0 final score last week. James had to sit out the season opening game due to a suspension, but is set to return to the field for the Ducks game against Tennessee, which is a bit more of a quality opponent, to say the least.(read

Cowboys Win Battle Of Texas

The Dallas Cowboys apparently take pride in proving America wrong. After an 0-2 start to the season, the Cowboys were decided underdogs heading into the in-state showdown against the upstart Houston Texans. With Houston sitting at the opposite side of the spectrum, at 2-0 following impressive wins over Indianapolis and Washington, it was easy to say that the Cowboys downward spiral would continue, and that Houston was the new class of Texas.(read
