Synchronous Versus Asynchronous Courses

By definition, both asynchronous and asynchronous courses offer optimal flexibility. While asynchronous courses may offer freedom, they dont imply irresponsibility or lack of accountability. This also means people who pursue such courses need to know and understand the benefits of pursuing either types. A work-at-home parent may manage a synchronous course because of the independence related to the nature of her work. However, an employee who runs lots of errands inconsistently may need an asynchronous course.
When it comes to these kinds of courses, one is encouraged to seek a form of balance between their personal life and study schedule to see what works better. Additionally, there is no harm in choosing an asynchronous course only to later find out you could have still managed a synchronous course.
