Over time, various odors tend to build up in carpets from years of being stepped on, spilled, possibly urinated on by pets (or children), the scent of cigarette smoke, and a variety of other things. Carpets can be sponges for bad odors. Once a bad odor is in a carpet, it is hard to remove it. Sometimes, simply cleaning the carpet is not enough. The stains may be removed, but that does not mean the odors will be removed. There is only so much a de-odorizing spray will do to keep carpets fresh smelling. There is nothing worse than having a carpet that looks clean but doesn't quite smell clean. The odor of the carpet can spread throughout the entire room and make the entire room odorous.
