When You Smoke, Your Child Suffers. This Father’s Day, Pledge For A Smoke-free Life
Children all over the world are losing their lungs’ health to passive smoking. As
parents, it is our responsibility to take care of their health, and help them know
how to strengthen lungs naturally.
“Passive smoking alone is killing 600,000 people worldwide. The first global study
into the effects of passive smoking also estimates that one-third of those killed
are children, often exposed to smoke at home. (Source – BBC)
Take a moment and think about what your smoking habit is
doing to the health of your own kids.
How passive smoking affects your children?
They are at a serious risk. When you smoke at home, they end up breathing in
that smoke, and over a long period of time, that smoke increases their chances of
developing a host of health issues including:
- Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
- Respiratory infections including bronchitis, bronchiolitis and pneumonia
- Slower lung growth
- Middle ear infections and diseases
- Wheezing, coughing, and breathlessness
- What’s more, they too can indulge ...
... in active smoking
What can you do about it?
- Quit smoking (we’ll talk more on that later in this post)
- Don’t smoke at home
- Even if you cannot help it, make sure you have your windows open and
children are not around
- Or, you can also go to terrace for smoking
A father is a role model for his kids:
You are your kids’ role model. They look upon you to know their own worth, to
feel loved, to get hugged. You are their hero, their protector, their everything. But
your smoking habit is not helping them grow well. Before it gets too late, try
quitting this habit that’s also eating away your own life. Noting is impossible if
you get determined about it, and with lung cleansing herbs, you can even lessen
the damage to your lungs that cigarette smoking has caused in all these years.
How to strengthen lungs naturally?
The best way out to strengthen your lungs that have lost their natural ability to
work due to smoking is by quitting smoking for good. The other good and
effective ways include Yoga, Pranayam, and use of herbs to improve lung
function.
Steps to quitting smoking:
1. SET A DATE and stick to it. You will fail many times. But just stick to your
goal to quit smoking and eventually you will be able to.
2. BUSY YOURSELF with things that are important and help you not to think
about smoking. Also throw away things at home or office that remind you
of smoking such as ashtrays or lighters.
3. DRINK LOTS OF FLUIDS. Keep clean water and fruit juices near to where
you work or spend a lot of time.
4. CHANGE YOUR ROUTINE. Avoid shops where you buy your smoke from.
Avoid people who smoke or may force you to try it once. Change your
routine and surprise yourself.
5. STAY POSITIVE. Withdrawal can be unpleasant. You will want to get back
to smoking. You will feel down, frustrated many times, and may have to
suffer from poor concentration. But you got to hold on to your promise to
leave it forever for your health, and more importantly, for the health of your
kids.
6. LUNG CLEANSING HERBS. This is important. Years of smoking must
have wrecked havoc on the health of your lungs. To strengthen your lungs
back, you should take authentic herbs to improve lung function.
7. STAY ACTIVE. Take a walk instead of taking out your bike to shop for
vegetables. Get on the stairs instead of taking an escalator or lilt to get to
your office on the first or second floor. 30 minutes of brisk walk in the
morning can do wonders for your lungs, and for your overall being.
Meditation and yoga are also great practices for smokers interested in
living a healthy life, and knowing how to strengthen lungs naturally.
The father’s day celebrations are on. And someone looking for a real kind of
father’s day gift can think about gifting his or her father a bunch of herbal
products to help them live well. Tar-Nil from Amishi Naturals is a natural herbal
product that strengthens lungs and also gets the toxic tar out of lungs that got
accumulated there after years of smoking.
