Unless you have a family member or a friend who has undergone chemotherapy, you have hardly ever spared a thought about the wigs for chemo patients. You might have visited a jewellery store or a boutique where your regular sales girl might have been wearing new wigs a few times. If you are comfortable, you might have asked her about the new hairdo and she could have told you that she is undergoing chemotherapy and this is actually a wig and not a natural hairdo. But apart from those incidents, this is not a topic you pay attention to and frankly, there is no need either. However, Wigs for Chemo Patients is a big industry and these wigs are slightly different from the normal wigs we generally wear for fashion and styling purposes. You will not see these wigs at the local saloon or beauty boutique.

Another unfortunate reason why you might have been researching about cancer patients is that you might have been diagnosed with cancer and might be undergoing chemotherapy yourself. Then it is obviously time to learn more about these special wigs.

Most of ...
... the women love their hair. They believe this is one of the most important beauty factors. They feel confident and beautiful when someone praises their hair. They go to lengths to maintain the lush of their long and beautiful hair. For then, the aftermath of chemotherapy is a nightmare as they lose the complete hair on their head, underarm, pubic hair, facial hair, eyebrows and more. Of course, the intensity of losing hair is different for everybody and the side effect of chemo is different on different people. It also depends on the drugs which are being used for chemotherapy.

The main responsibility for a friend or a family member of a cancer patient who is undergoing chemo is to keep the patient happy and cheerful so that the morale of the patient isn't broken. Depression can make medicines ineffective. If a patient is depressed, the friends and family members need to make conscious efforts to help the patient. The positive attitude is the key to combating cancer effectively.

It would be good for the patient if he or she isn't allowed to think much about the lost hair. That preoccupation is not healthy and, in fact, the hair loss due to chemotherapy is not permanent and the hair regrows in about one year.
