Lonavala, Maharashtra

Lonavala is one of the enchanting hill stations in Pune district of Maharashtra. Situated at an elevation of 625 m above sea level in the Sahyadri Mountains, Lonavala separates the Deccan Plateau and the Konkan Coast. Lonavala and Khandala are the twin hill stations located near to each other and are very famous monsoon getaways near Pune and Mumbai. Lord Elphinstone, the then Governor of the Bombay Presidency, developed Lonavala along with Khandala in 1871. Coorg, Karnataka

Coorg or Kodagu is a hill district in Karnataka and Madikeri is its headquarters. Athirapally Falls, Kerala

Athirapally Waterfalls is the most popular waterfalls located in Thrissur district of Kerala. It is considered as one of the best waterfalls in India and also one of the top tourist places in Kerala state. The waterfall cascades down from a height of 80 feet through several parallel streams offering a great scenic beauty. This magnificent waterfall is formed on Chalakudy River and in monsoon season, the water gets strength and all the streams join together and appear like Niagara Falls. This is the biggest waterfalls in Kerala and one of the top places to visit in Kerala during rainy season.

One can reach top of the falls with about 15 min walk from the falls entrance. Swimming is possible at the bottom of the falls. The Vazhachal Waterfalls, Chapra Falls, Anakkayam, Sholayar Dam, Valparai and Malayattur Wildlife Sanctuary are the nearest tourist attractions to Athirapally Falls. It also offers adventure activities like river rafting, trekking, etc.

Jog Falls, Karnataka

Jog Falls, situated in Shimoga district of Karnataka, is one of the highest plunge waterfalls and also among the best waterfalls in India. The water comes down in four distinct falls known as Raja, Rani, Rover and Rocket and these four cascades merge to form the huge waterfall. Jog Falls can be seen in full form in rainy season and is one of the top monsoon destinations in India.

Jog falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Karnataka and also one of the popular tourist places in Karnataka. Some major attractions near Jog Falls are Kudumari Waterfalls, Unchalli Falls, Koosalli Waterfalls, Bennehole Falls and Murudeshwar.
