Knowing how to clean your home safely with toddlers in it can almost be a chore in itself. Trying to clean can be described as making a plan to have a plan because everyone knows trying to clean around toddlers is not an easy task.

Giving your toddlers a designated area while you're attempting to clean your home is quite helpful. Even if you have a small home you can do this! Your toddlers want a place of their own to so whether you can have the luxury of a toddler toy table or you just throw a small blanket down in the corner; this is their domain. A toy box in this area is essential. You can even make on by paining a box or covering it with cloth. When you're ready to start cleaning our home sit your toddler in their designated area to play. This may not last long but it should get you a jump start.

Obviously as a parent of a toddler you have already learned to multi-task. This is a key ingredient in our cleaning job. Put laundry in while you're cleaning, not after. When running the vacuum cleaner, take the time to unplug and re-plug often. The last thing you want is to pull a cord tight and have your ...
... toddler trip over it. Cleaning products should never be left out, not even for a minute. It takes one second for your toddler to pick up the furniture spray and spray it in their eyes or think the Pine sol is their bottle. If you can wait until your toddler is napping to wash your floors, it is really helpful. Toddlers love to run and the thought of them running and hitting a wet floor is a hospital visit waiting to happen. Also be sure that if you remove any children gates off stairs for vacuuming purposes, put them back up immediately. If you can work around the gates without taking them down then that's even better. When you are unloading the dishwasher put the silverware away first. Shiny knives are very inviting to toddlers and too easy to grab when you turn your head.

Making a schedule, even for everyday of the week can really help. Doing a few small chores daily is more practical than trying to clean your entire house at one time. If you have a toddler in your home, chances are you have a mess. Always put things away that could harm your child. Pick up shoes in front of the door, as these are famous for getting tripped over. Lastly, when trying to clean your home safely with toddlers in it, always have eyes in the back of your head!
