The kicker card can also determine who the winner is going to be in an online poker game. A lot of players forget about this and may lose everything if this is true. Just as one example, if you have an Ace and a Queen in your hand and another player has an Ace and a King in his hand, he will win if the flop brings a pair of aces. That will mean you have a pair of aces, true, but the other player's King "kicker" is going to ensure that he wins.
