A Few Facts About Bomb Blast Films
Glass windows are difficult during any explosion because they tend to shatter and fly over to every place. These flying missiles can badly injure someone. At busy locations, like the town centres, your offices or your residence, these are very risky proposition. However, there is a way. With bomb blast protection films, you can prevent injuries and can even save lives.
The glass protection film is over 1 cm in thickness, 275 microns to be exact. Due to this thickness, it really keeps your glass protected. Although this is a fairly thick coating, you would hardly notice this on your windows. It is transparent, unless you specifically ask for the tinted films, and fill the windows till the corners so you don't get to see the edges nor does it affect the vision. As the film is transparent, the natural light comes in perfectly and keeps the room bright and lively.
Even though the purpose of a bomb blast film is to protect the inside from the explosion, there is another added benefit. These thick films make your window glasses difficult to ...
... break and it keeps the burglars out.
The logical first step of installing these films would be to carry out a survey of the windows and the doors. This means that your window frames and the glasses would be checked by the experts. If you put these films on the window glass yet the frame of the window isn't immune to the blast, them it wouldn't work. The glass might fly in as a whole piece, causing even greater danger.
When the glass perfectly rests on the frame, you can install the film. The glasses don't need to be taken off from the frames to install these films and these films are pasted on the inner side of the windows. If the agency feels so, a ‘dowcorning’ is put on. This is a special sealant which goes around the edges of the glass, sealing the ends of the films on the glass.
The tint of these films prevent 99% of the UV rays from coming in. these rays are dangerous for our skin and might cause cancer as well. UV rays also have a harsh effect on the colours of the furniture, clothes and upholstery and fade their colours very quickly. Thus, these films also lengthen the lifetime of your furniture and décor of the house.
