City travel has been made a lot cheaper with electric bikes around. While scooters are still the mileage option when it comes to motorbikes and sports bikes, the need for economic travel has moved the trend to e-bikes. You don’t really need a license to ride one except for certain models, and it tops out at the city speed limit which keeps you safe on the office commute. Here’s what makes the e-bike safer than regular bikes for the urban resident.

Speed Limit

Having a limited top speed, the e-bikes like Hero Scooty score more points on the safety meter. You can get a cool 45 – 60 Km/h at most and reduces risks of accidents and collisions. You can cruise on the bike lane and make it through rush hour without a scratch.

Braking system and handling

The low top speed allows room for better braking. With thinner and smaller wheels, maneuvering can be a little tricky. Brakes are vital in the rainy season and with smaller wheels, there’s a higher chance of skidding off. The e-bikes use a two-way braking system that cuts the engine off along when triggering brake ...
... lines which ensure that you don’t get thrown forward from the throttle and gives you better control on wet streets.

City traffic

The best electric bike is a breeze in heavy traffic. You hit too many red lights anyway to pick up any real speed in between and the steady handling makes it easier to get you anywhere safely. The by-lanes where there’s a danger of oncoming traffic, the e-bike handles itself superbly and is agile enough to find the tiniest of spaces to squeeze by.

Mileage

Premium bikes usually burn through fuel rapidly and there’s always a chance of being caught out too far from a pump. The e-bikes need to be charged overnight but covers as much as 85 to 100 km per charge. This may be poor for the highway but works like a charm in the city. With the incredible prices rising in fuel, the e-bike is a safer option financially as well.

Physical durability

The bikes are designed to be hardy and can get you scot free out of a rainy spot. If it does happen to take some damage, it will very rarely affect the internal systems too much, and you will have enough time to get it to a mechanic. The hardy bikes last longer and if you’re planning on getting one, it will save you in the long term.
With hi-tech phones and computers, a hi-tech bike was bound to follow. The performance is beyond expectation and in the crowded bustle of city traffic, this makes the perfect companion for comfortable, safe commute.
