Do They Deserve It?-00-5305
Every year there are millions of reported animal abuse cases.
At one point in time every animal in this world was wild. Human beings caught these animals and domesticated them. A domesticated animal cannot live on its own and survive. When we get a pet we are suppose to love it and protect it and feed it and teach it. The domesticated animal is solely dependent on its owner, but in return will love you and protect you back.
In NYC a woman was taking her Pomeranian outside for a walk the Pomeranian went to the bathroom in the elevator the woman beat the dog into unconsciousness. The police confiscated the Pomeranian and charged the woman with torturing and injuring an animal.
A dog was thrown out of a car with a rope tied around her neck. The dog was taken to an animal shelter upon inspection at the animal shelter, it was found that the rope had grown into the dog's neck and it looked like someone had tried to cut it out but made a very messy job of it. The dog was rushed to the vet, underwent surgery and is alive and well today.
In Ohio a man was breeding pure breed dogs and selling them, he ...
... had them in cages in his back yard. Over this winter authorities were called in and they found the dogs with no food or water, their pens were filled with feces and puppies lay in their dead.
In Florida, a woman was charged with 17 counts of animal cruelty just recently. Authorities were called in by a neighbor after she told them that she hasn't seen anyone at the home in a few weeks, when the police went inside the home, the animals (dogs, cats, and others) were living in feces and fending for themselves, the woman went on vacation in early December and left the animals.
In Brooklyn NY a lady called authorities on herself, she was living in a one bedroom apartment with 37 cats. She started out with just a few, but they kept populating until it spiraled out of control. Animal control took 35 of the cats to the shelter and all seemed to be in good health, they let the woman keep two cats but made them get spayed and neutered.
We are the ones that want domesticated animals; after these animals have been domesticated they are solely dependent on us. They don't have a very long existence if we just let them go. When we adopt or take in an animal it is our responsibility to take care of that animal so it stays in good health. These animals were not given to us to just forget about them or beat up on them when were having a bad day. These animals that we have, love us and in return we should do everything we can to love them back. Reading about the way people treat animals is very sad. If one person reads this article and it changes their mind about the way they treat animals then this article was worth every tear I cried, while researching this topic.
Take care and have a blessed day!
