Lithium-Ion batteries are something which you will find in almost every electric device that runs on battery, be it your laptop, digital camera, cell phones etc. However, lithium-Ion batteries do need some safety precautions as lately there have been a number of reports where lithium-Ion batteries have exploded causing 3rd-degree burns.
Apart from small devices, rechargeable lithium-Ion batteries are used in large appliances such as e-bike scooter, solar power storage cells and much more. However, lithium-ion batteries do need some safety precautions which will not only keep you safe but will also make sure that your batteries have a prolong life. The batteries should be kept at a good distance from any type of metal object such as nails, pins, metal clips, metallic wires etc. These objects may cause a chemical reaction in the batteries which might result in the explosion.

6. Ensure proper transportation: There is a specially designed box for transportation of devices with Lithium-Ion batteries which must be used in case of transportation. Also, while transporting do follow the guidelines from the department of transportation regarding such objects.
Though lithium-Ion batteries surround us in every possible device, a little precaution will make sure that they become a good companion to humans rather than posing a danger. A well-maintained lithium-Ion battery is not only safer but also has a longer life and do not require early replacement.
