BANK PO

What does PO mean

PO stands for Probationary Officer . It is starting level job in banking sector because all the recruited Bank PO Officer manage all the activities under their supervision .

Candidate who who recruited for Bank PO post are kept for a probation period of 2 years .

Responsibilities of Bank PO – Roles and Duties

All the work alloted to you in banks are according to the bank policies and so they differ in the job . You may be posted in any bank and in any branch . Then you have to take responsibiility to manage all work given to you
1. Customer service – Probationary Officer main work is to handle all the bank customer and provide them with all solution of their personal queries .
It will be related to any of banking service like account statement, required of any of another document such as forms and issuing cheque books. Open new accounts, handle any other bank product, cash deposit, and withdrawal, etc. Bank PO will manage these types of many works on a daily basis.

2. Account Related Services – Most of the banks assigned newly recruit ...

It may be related to various queries such as account opening , closure of dead accounts , print account statement when needed, issuing Cheque books to the client, arrange depositing slips, bank passbook entry . You can also be given this type of work in Bank PO profile

3. Cash handling Services –Bank PO another job can be to handle all cash transaction . He/she who is selected and recruited as Bank PO officer will have to manage all types of transaction such as depositing and withdrawal of cash . For this you need to trained on personal bank software for handling transaction .

4. Payment Clearance – Bank PO is also assigned a responsibility to manage al clearance of payments of all the bank customers and provide them a better service .You can also assign to process all types of transactions like Demand Draft (DD), Cheques, NEFT, RTGS and other payment methods.

5. Processing of Loan  – In starting of Probationary officer probation period most of the time bank assigned all new freshers to their loan and Insurance department to selling their products. Department will train you for these products that how to sell and what to sell and how to convince customer and giving complete knowledge about the product.

6. Generate New Business – Bringing business to bank it is another feature of IBPS Bank PO Job Profile where you will have to manage various activities like promoting banking products, New Account opening, selling Insurance, loans, etc.
