Curtain walling is an added finish which is mounted of external walls. This is often used to resist sun rays, for better sound acoustics and also for sheer aesthetics values. Glass curtain walling is either transparent or semi-transparent. Opaque walling are generally not used due to different reasons. The glass tiles are mounted using aluminium brackets. The glass which is used should be strong and hard because it needs to withstand natural weather elements like rain, snow, storm and sun rays. Curtain walling is a common feature for framed buildings. It can also be done on domestic buildings so that the sun rays don't enter the house. Many agencies installed curtain walling in London, professionally.

The glass curtain is often used on the long windows as well. These are the windows which we see on the staircases or the dining rooms. When these curtain walling is used on the outside, it eliminates the need of having a curtain or blind inside. For domestic homes, the spacing between the wall of the building and the aluminium frame should ...
... be at least 8 inches. The main window should have a top hung or sliding opening mechanism as there would be no space to open it outward. The main window should have at least 6 inches opening to allow the movement of fresh air.

The width and length of the space is to be measured before the glass curtain walling fixing process can start. Once the contractor has the accurate measures, they cut the aluminium frames in the sizes required and carry those to the construction site. Then the glass is cut and affixed to the aluminium frames. This also helps in confirming that all the rubber linings are well paced and well attached before the final mounting starts. This also means that during heavy winds, the glasses are firmly attached and don't shake or vibrate. Finally, the mounting brackets are marked on the frame.

The brackets which fasten the glass frames to the walls and the beams are attached with bolts. Then the aluminium frame is slid inside the frame and clipped to the wall mounting brackets. The height of the frame should be up to the skill level of the windows from the top of the windows. The glass sheets are then placed inside the holding rubber lining of the aluminium frame and the rubber cover is screwed back on the frame. This holds the glass firmly to the frame.
