With just 166 square miles, the tiny little country of Barbados has more than 100 beaches – each as unique and diverse as the island itself. No wonder, every visitor to the country has his favourite. Barbados beaches are definitely some of the best and the most beautiful in the world; although some more popular than others. Here’s a list of 5 of best Barbados beaches:

• Bathsheba:

Bathsheba is a picturesque beach situated on the East Coast. In fact, Bathsheba is a popular surfing spot and the surfing capital of the country. There’s also the ‘Soup Bowl’, considered the best surfing wave by local surfing enthusiasts. Yet to be spoilt by relentless commercial tourism, it is definitely the least costly surf breaks in the world. But if you don’t surf, there’s still plenty to do – you can go snorkeling or sunbathing.

• Carlisle Bay:

Carlisle Bay is located along Bridgetown. This is one of the best beaches in the world. You can go snorkelling in the Carlisle Bay Marine Park and watch the hundreds of marine life surrounding the rustic ship anchors and cannonballs littering the ocean ...
... floor.

• Mullins Bay:

Mullins Bay is one of the best Barbados beaches with powdery sand and crystal clear waters. It is popular with the locals as much as it is with the tourists. You can either go snorkelling to see the island’s beautiful marine life or swim alongside sea turtles that are sometimes known to swim close to the rock formations along the beach. And don’t forget to grab some snacks including the local favourite, grilled snapper.

• Crane Beach:

This is the most popular of all Barbados beaches. This is perfect for those looking to combine some water sports with luxury travel. Crane beach is lined with luxury resorts catering to some of the most elite clients in the world. This is perfect for swimming or sunbathing – whichever you prefer.

• Sandy Lane:

If you’re a fan of turquoise waters and tropical reefs, don’t miss the Sandy Lane beach. It is a favourite of the many celebrities that visit the country. This beach is perfect for swimmers. But be warned – it can get crowded during the high season. The best time to visit the beach would be early morning or late in the afternoon.
