For centuries, oil massage for hair had been one of the most important hair routine that has reaped rich rewards. 'Champi', as it was called by the barbers in ancient India is a message with aromatic oils that help in stimulating the blood flow to strengthen the hair roots for strong and lustrous hair. The oils used in this process are varied according to the seasons and individual needs. These oils could be the generic carrier oils like Coconut, Olive, Castor or more potent essential oils like Lavender, Tea tree Rosemary etc which by virtue of their extraction comes with special properties of their own.

It’s important that you keep your scalp garden as clean as possible with enough nutrients for a healthy hair growth. This is where the hair oil comes into picture. An effective oil treatment results in cleansing and nourishing the scalp promoting hair growth. Any carrier oil, given its pure, will surely help you in improving your scalp health and hair growth but the results are effective when you blend these oils with the essential ones to suit your individual needs. Here are some of the important essential oils ...

Take a base of carrier oil of your choice (Coconut, Olive, Castor etc) and add the appropriate proportions (3 drops of an essential oil for 10 drops of carrier) to form a perfect blend for your oil massage. Take a good amount of the warm oil and gently spread it on your scalp with your fingertips. Give a good two hours before you wash the hair for good results.
