The Memory Can Be Improved By Regular Jogging
We all know that jogging is good for our body, but according to scientists from Cambridge University study, jogging is also good for the psychology. The study found that regular jogging can generate new cells in the brain and improve memory. It is unclear why the aerobic sports to promote the growth of gray matter, but it may be to increase blood flow, or movement related to higher levels of hormone release. Timothy Posse, a neuroscientist of behavior in the University of Cambridge, and their research team studied two groups of rats, one group was placed on rotating wheels, the others group did not. A few days later, they carried out a series of memory tests for the two groups of mice. Two identical boxes are side by side on a computer screen, if the mouse touched the left arch box with the nose, you give a candy as a reward. There is no reward if touch the box on the right. Those who have been selected in the jogging are easier touch the box on the left.
The part purpose of the experiment is to test mice what the difference between how strong the ability for the two similar to the memory. Beginning of the experiment, ...
... rats are from the box 30 cm, then gradually shorten the distance and almost to the box on the paste. Mice which have been jogging can distinguish the different boxes to win candy. But for rats with sedentary, their memory decline and they are impossible to distinguish. A researcher said:"the distance is so close, the rats have been very close to the cognitive the two boxes, when they have to distinguish between the two boxes, the new growth of brain cells help them to make a difference."
The researchers themselves have joined the ranks of the jogging. Jogging for some time, they found themselves grow out of hundreds of new brain cells, and their memory improved memory significantly lower risk of confusion, learning, and the ability to complete other cognitive tasks greatly enhanced. Many great scholars said they were enjoying jogging. Nobel Prize winner, the German Wolfgang Ketterle, said: "I think a variety of problems: physical problems, family problems, the weekend program with while jogging. I have not been any major discoveries when jogging, but it gives me time to think about issues and reach a conclusion. Some of the conclusions are obvious, but only when you are relaxed enough that they can be found in the obvious."
