Rio de Janeiro is not popular only for the Carnival, the one-of-a-kind beaches or the beautiful women; it is also popular because of the unique nightlife. One of the most important bars in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is the Balcony Bar which many consider to offer the best beer in the city. The front ground floor of the building is completely opened out, with only several structural columns required to hold up the building. In front of the bar (as with most of the beach bars), there is a wide covered area that accommodates roughly 30 tables and chairs. The outside area of the bar is used more for dining. Walking inside the bar, the place is a little more rowdy, a popular meeting place for a few cold beers, a pick-up joint as well as a favorite of Germans that are staying in the area. But being in Rio de Janeiro, people of many nationalities come at the bar for a good time, making it a great place for meeting new people and learning about different cultures and traditions.

This is one of the few bars in the world that offers no more than 45 different kinds of beer while the regular ones in the area offer only 4 so if you are looking for variety - the Balcony Bar is the place to go to. From all of these beers, not all are national beers as they offer a small variety of German, Dutch and English beers. The variety of food is not that great but it comes at a good value - a pizza will do the trick - after all, which among us does not enjoy a hot and spicy pizza?

All things considered, Rio de Janeiro has one of the most fascinating nightlife's in the world and the Balcony Bar seems to be the main attraction where people come and serve one of the 45 varieties of beer over a nice dinner with friends and good music.
