About COMMON PROFICIENCY TEST (CPT)

CPT exam is entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course. CPT is conducted by ICAI and held twice in a year in June and December. Syllabus of CPT covers four subject namely

• Accounting (60 Marks)
• Mercantile Laws (40 Marks)
• General Economics ( 50 Marks)
• Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks)

These subjects tests the basic knowledge of the candidate in these subject areas. Total marks of exam are 200 Marks. CPT is an objective type test with negative making. The candidates need to have hold on these subjects to clear CPT exam.
