Project Of Mjsa –to Bring Water Sustenance
MJSA was started by the Rajasthan government aiming to make every village self-reliant in water and expanding profitability of the area. More than 3,000 villages will be covered under the campaign in four years in different phases. Why was this necessary? Lack of water is one issue that is common among all strata of the society. That is why this campaign is a mass movement, wherein everyone feels associated with the issue. They are welcome to lend their support in kind, labour or money. On being asked about the accountability in the execution of the campaign, the CM said she would go and check the progress of the project in villages herself with surprise visits, where structures of watershed are being actualized. Timely reports about progress have to be submitted by district authorities.
Ministers and officials of the state government are working for the campaign alongside various religious and social organizations as partners. She appealed the media associations to bolster this campaign by creating amongst general society about it. She acknowledged endeavours made by a few media associations for propelling water preservation ...
... in the past and looks upon the organizations to adopt villages or water bodies in the urban areas for this project. What’s more, it’s very easy to be a part of it. Your donation alongside all these efforts will ultimately benefit the condition of water in the state.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje kicked off the first phase of the campaign from her constituency Jhalawar. Many stakeholders, individuals, organizations, NGOs and even caste organizations have been roped in for the initiative as well. As the CM drove the campaign, overall population from the whole way across the state gave a mind-boggling reaction and joined her campaign with full body, mind, and wealth. This can be seen with the fact that over Rs. 7 Crores of contribution was done by the people in Jhalawar within few hours of CM’s call. Smt. Raje said that Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan Would bring a water revolution in the state of Rajasthan.

She said that with such development works of Jal Swavlamban, the drought-affected. The MJSA was imagined in the wake of taking a gander at a comparable example embraced by Maharashtra, where 8 water droughts stuck districts slowly but surely developed water sustainability after using this model.
