1. Do you like your landlord?

It is important to know if you have worthy landlord or not, as you probably won’t want one who is of no help at all.

Find someone whom you like and think you can trust. This can be tested by talking to the potential landlords and building managers to see how they are responding to your questions and how much are they concerned for their tenants.

2. Are the terms of your lease OK?

Read the lease cautiously before signing it. The situation may not be appropriate for you if the utilities are not included in it and lease terms are strict. If the rent is already on the higher end of your budget then it cannot work for you.

3. Is the place well-maintained?

Everyone wants to live in a place ...
... that does not need constant repairs. Observe the things wholly when inspecting the condition of the building and the apartment. Wholly means complete observation from floors to walls, bathrooms to bedrooms, appliances to fixtures etc.

This takes time so it should be done when you have abundant of time. This inspection is time consuming but worthy, as it is better to move safe.

4. Is the location ideal?

Do ample of research on the neighborhood before beginning your search. It will tell if you can fit in the locality or not. Ask following questions from yourself before moving-in:

• Is the neighborhood safe for you to live-in?
• Is the commute to work reasonable?
• Are the amenities in vicinity?
• Is the building’s parking nearby?
• Is the area accessible by public transportation?

5. Is the price right?

It’s wise to find the one which is not heavy on your pocket. The price of an apartment depends upon its location, services, amenities and utilities providing. You can stretch your budget slightly if you are not getting a place within your pre-determined range.

An apartment with more facilities may seem to be an expensive deal, but you don’t have to buy few utilities here because these are already included in the rent.

6. Does it fit your furry friend properly?

If you have a pet or are considering buying the one in the future then make your decision sensibly. Find out the place that has right setup, locations and amenities for your pet and also make sure that the monthly rent still keeps the place within the budget.

Always keep these things in mind to treasure your ideal one. It’s rare to find a perfect apartment but it’s possible to find a good one which fit you and your needs. You should never settle for something that does not make you satisfied. Get your ideal place and live contented. Looking for pet-friendly rental apartments in Edmonton?
