4 Indian Dishes You Should Give A Try
This article is less for the Indians staying in the foreign land but for those who instead being foreigners cherish Indian food. India is a vast country with varied cultures, varied religions and varied cuisines co-existing happily. Almost all dishes in India, whichever culture they are coming from, is delicious in it own value. However, there are some that truely qualified to stand to mark the international level. So here are four dishes that you must give a try in Indian restaurants (obviously one at each different ocassion as they are super heavy in itself.)
1. Biryani- Though there are much controversies as to where the dish actually born but then India has accepted it like its own. The menu of Indian restaurant cannot be complete without the inclusion of Biryani. Now in India, the biryani has undergone many versions. Different regions have their own version matching to their taste. However, to be more precise, while trying biryani prefer a restaurant that serves Awadhi dishes. Chances are you will get to taste the tastiest one.
2. Malai Kofta & Naan- Though malai kofta can be paired up with any Indian ...
... flat bread, it tastes specially divine when combined with Naan. Soft koftas are made out of cottage cheese and are then fried. They are then dropped in semi-sweet creamy gravy made out of paste nuts of and milk cream. A dash of indian garam masala at the end lend it its much required zing. Tear a portion of super soft naan and smear it in the gravy, put in the mouth and yes the heaven is here.
3. Chole-Bhature- This is comparatively a more oily dish and a little difficult to digest. Depending upon your digestion power, choose how much quantity you wanna consume but don't deprive yourself from this one of the most tasty dish of India. Chole is curried chickpea in Indian style with the secret punjabi masalas and bhature is deep fried flat bread. Though it is sounding quite plain, but don't belittle it for that. Taste yourself to experience.
4. Kheema Pav- A parsi dish most prevalent in western India. Lamb meat is minced and cooked with chosen parsi mix of spices and is served with buttered bun. Onion-lemon salad in the side is the most required one. It is one of the most tasty dishes I have ever tasted. The most important thing is by increasing and decreasing the number of buns you can consume it both as evening snack and dinner.
Whenever you are thinking of any parsi dish, don't think anything other than Fido's Cafe at New Jersey. The cafe remains open even till the midnight, so whenever wanna grab a bite go Fido's way.
Allow yourself to gorge but graciously.
