The holiday season is almost over! I'm sure most of you are relieved. No more long lines, traffic jams, and boring waits. We can all stop worrying about juggling bills so we can buy the best christmas presents. Especially how the joy of christmas can leave so soon after the presents are unwrapped. The new year can come and everyone can live thier lives for one more year.

I find it funny however, that the new year brings some odd hope. My opinon of course, is that it brings nothing. It might bring a dream...but you will find that life will be exactly the same. The new year is not what would bring change, if change occured. You yourself have to change what is going on, the year changing has nothing to do with it. Losing that last ten pounds, getting a new job, fixing up your house, or maybe just finding that happy/medium with your money. All of this is up to you, not the "new year."

I hate to be cynical about it, but the truth is, people do not hold themselves to any standards. Christmas is not about family, life, or how about jesus christ, who by the way: is the reason we're suppose to be celebrating. ...
... It's about presents, money, what you're going to recieve. It's about greed, spoiled brats, and a make believe person called santa. If you have a child, they don't appreciate the money you spent, or what you had to do to get what they recieved. The next day, they're exactly the same spoiled brat they were on christmas. I'm not saying your child is like this, but the majority rules.

I suppose you could look at it in a positive form like, well at least the economy is good enough to where people can celebrate christmas. Or at least the world is still here so we can be alive to celebrate a fake holiday. But then again, why even bother. The world is coming to a point where, thier isn't many decent people left. What happens when thier is none? What happens when the world sees it's end? Oh well, right?

The point is, the new year means nothing but a number. You go right ahead and party. Get drunk, smoke a fattie, snort whatever someone gives you.....but tomarrow, life will be the same. Your routine will not end. The party you have, what you wear, who your with, honestly, does not actually matter. Because next year, the same thing will happen. You will wear a differant outfit, with differant people, getting messed up on something else. Besides all that, go out and do what you want to do, because tomarrow will just be another day.
