Noise ranking
A sleep laboratory test was carried out in University of Sussex in Britain, which aims to study the importance of sleep well. Firstly, the researchers create a well sleeping environment for adult volunteers, and then make some noise awaken them, at the same time, the changes in brain activity of volunteers can be observed with instruments. The researchers found that the sensitivity to the same voice between men and women volunteers in sleep is different. Women, whether mothers or not, are most sensitive to the child crying. But for men, child crying is not listed on the column of Ten disturbed voice in their sleep. Instead, most men are more sensitive to the voices such as the car alarm. Sounds of car alarm, wind, flies buzzing, snoring, sewer drainage, cricket, fire engines whistling, the clock tick, drilling, tap drip are main factors of interrupting men's sleep. While for women, top ten of the most easily awakened noises are children crying, dripping faucet, loud, snoring, flies hum, boring such as whistle sound of police cars or fire engines, car alarm, sound of wind and sewer drainage.

Different ...
... sensitivity between different genders
The words of psychologist David Lewis quoted in Daily Telegraph of British on November 29 are that some voices such as around a partner's cough or snore are likely to disturb the sleep for both men and women. "And other voices such as the hum of flies are easier to wake men," Lewis said, "Women are more easily awakened by a child crying." He said that the different sensitivity in sleep to the voices may reflect the different evolutionary between different genders, women are more sensitive to sound which may threaten the safety of their children while the men are more alert to the voices that may pose a threat to the entire family. The study also found that women are more easily awakened and men sleep faster after being awakened.

It is not easy to enjoy a good sleep
Stefan, one of business executives, said: "a good night sleep is significance for people because of fast-paced in cities". But it is not easy to do the well-known principle.
