3 Indian Ways To Enjoy Tea

Originated in China, tea today is enjoyed in havoc all over Asia and also it has secured its place as a worldwide beverage. Also due to the medicinal properties of tea, it is often prepared with particular herbs so as to amplify its virtue.

In India, there are three prevalent ways of preparing tea that are enjoyed all over the country and abroad alike.

1. Punjabi Masala tea- Punjabi masala tea is prepared by boiling the milk-water mix with certain Indian spices like cardamom, clove, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg and ginger to infuse their flavors in the tea. Then the tea leaves are added, boiled, filtered and served with required sugar. It tastes heavenly specially in the chilly winters ...

2. Lemon tea- Lemon tea is prepared without milk. Basically premium tea leaves work best in this preparation. Leaves are boiled in plain water to infuse its favor and color then filtered in a cup. It is then topped with lemon juice and sugar as per taste. Health conscious people mostly uses honey in place of sugar. The concoction works best after meal as it helps in digestion and also too some extent helps to relieve bloated stomach.

3. Mumbai Cutting Chai- As the name suggests, the tea is mostly famous is Mumbai and also the rest of Maharashtra. It is the preparation that the Iranian community has contributed. Cutting chai gots its name from a pretty different source but that's another story. I can say, this chai effectively cuts off your stress and tiredness. In this preparation, milk is used in generous quantity and the final cup is often topped with extra malai. It is best to consume it in the breakfast when the body metabolism is high and can burn the high calorie content of the preparation. However, in actual practice, people consume it at any time of the day to feel refreshed.
