Bundi is an undiscovered historical wealth 36-km from Kota is a picturesque small town in Rajasthan, Bundi is one of the unexplored cities with a rich historical heritage. Bundi is surrounded by the Aravalli hills on three sides and is framed by a massive wall with four gateways.

Interesting monuments including impressive medieval forts, palaces, havelis, temples and idols of stone and beautiful 'chattris' (cenotaph) with pillars carved with a picturesque lake in the heart of the city, add to its charm. Bundi is very famous for his intricate sculptures and murals.

Prime attractions of Bundi
Taragarh-Bundi
Taragarh fort was built in 1354 with its imposing stone structure, is located on a steep hill and has massive walls and ramparts .. Fort has been raised to a height of 500 meters from the top of a hill built by Rao Singh Bar. The fort welcomes travelers with a huge door. Inside the fort, the tourist can see the Bhim Burj, the largest platform and a huge water tank, cut into solid rock. From the fort, one can see the whole city.

Kajl Teej:
Teej festival is celebrated throughout the state with each region having its unique feel. Kajl Teej of Bundi is different in several aspects, while Teej is celebrated on the third day of Shravana in Bundi, it is celebrated on the third day of Bhadra. Cultural performances by local artists and by artists from the region are Hadot Pan Day. Though the Teej procession is carried out for only two days, the festivities continue till the eighth day, finally ending on Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna

Chhattar Mahal or Palace Tours
A steep, paved path carraife is the only way to reach the monument. Special interest in the palace is the "Hazari Pole 'or' Gate of the thousand", the Naubat Khana, the Hathi Pole with its old water clock and Diwaane-e-Aam.

84 Pillared Cenotaph
An incredibly beautiful memorial with 84 pillars in a single cenotaph with Shivlingam. It was erected by Rao Anirudh

Chitrashala
Art gallery of miniature murals embellish the palace. Colorful paintings on the walls depict scenes from the luxurious life of the rulers, culture, painting of lord Krishna etc.

Ranlji-Ki-Baori
It is 46 m deep stepped well with some superb carvings on its pillars and an arched gate built in 1699 AD by Rani Nathavatji.

Nawal Sagar
Visible from the fort is the artificial lake Nawal Sagar square interrupted by islands, a temple dedicated to Varuna, the God of Water Aryan stands half submerged in the center of the lake. The reflection of the city and its palaces can be seen in the lake - making it a unique attraction of Bundi.

Phool Sagar
The 20th century palace with an artificial reservoir and picturesque gardens. Currently, the residence of the former ruler (Prior permission of Secretary is required for a visit.)

Ramgarh (45 km)
The town of Ramgarh was founded by a group of disgruntled family powerful Poddar merchant in 1791.It was one of the richest cities in the late 19th century. The Temple of God Shani Saturday has delicately painted frescoes.
