Bannerghatta National Park: The Bannerghatta National Park is one of the well-known and prominent of all national parks in India. It’s a man-made park which is a home to quite a few classes of animals and birds and it also catches the attention of children and adults alike through its diverse animals and birds.
Bheemeshwari: Bheemeshwari is a small town which comes in between the Mekedatu falls and Shivanasamudra falls, on the banks of river Cauvery in Mandya district of Karnataka. It is a grand place for eco-tourism and it is a usual habitat for the mahseer fish that’s found in the waters of the river Cauvery.
Channarayana Durga: Channarayana Durga is located just about 8 kilometers from Tumkur city off Gulur village on the Kunigal road, hosts couple of beautiful temples carved by Jakanachari. Jakanachari, the master sculptor was born and brought up at this place. It is well-known for a small Dravidian fashion Kaidala Chennakeshava temple constructed in eleventh century.

Nandi Hills: The bnandi-hillseautiful Nandi Hills is widely known as “Nandi Betta” for the neighboring people of Karnataka. This small hill is located about 55 km from Bangalore City. The meaning of Nandi in Sanskrit is “Bull”. He is the holy abode to peer of the realm Shiva. Nandi Hills acquire its name from the renowned Nandi temple located on the top this small mountain. Its a perfect weekend getaway from Bangalore.
Shivagange: Shivagange is a perfect location for a one day trek and it is a sacred place which is known as “Dakshina Kashi”. There is spring water spots set up on this mount; it is believed that the water is “Gange” sacred river for all Hindus. This is a hill which looks just like the shape of the Shiva Linga from one of its face. Therefore the name “Shivagange”.It is just about 60kms from Bangalore, near Dobbspet which comes in Tumkur district.
Mekedatu: Mekedatu is a point where river Cauvery and Arkavathi gets together; because this is the place of coming together of two rivers which is so called “Sangam”. It is situated 93 kilometers away from Bangalore. Chatty waters, untouched picnic spots and impressive landscapes are what Mekedatu is famous for. The river Cauvery gripping through a thin and fine ravine before passing through its terrain is a breathtaking view.
