Llb Course-challenging The Society's Injustices
The Bachelor of Laws or better known as LLB is an undergraduate level course that awards you with a bachelor degree on successful completion of it. The law education has its roots in England. Earlier, law students had to study both common law and civil law.
Most of the countries where common law is practiced; the LLB degree course can be taken up right after successfully completing the secondary school. However, in some other countries, to get admission into common LLB requires you to have passed the graduation first. In Scotland, LLB is also known as, GDL, a one-year diploma course offered after graduation. Rules and systems differ with countries. In India, law has always been offered in a three year degree course mode known as, B.L (Bachelor of Law).
Legal education is a professional qualification in itself. Students who graduate with a degree in law get to be the members of the bar council or the law society. They further need to assist a senior lawyer or work as trainees for some time, generally ...
... a year and a half before they could get their license to practice as a solicitor.
LL.B- Bachelor of Laws: it is generally a five year degree program in law which requires students to pass out their higher secondary or 10+2 level exam and succeed in the entrance test held for getting through legal studies.
If you have the aspiration to fight for justice and bring social inequalities to an end, if you know you can present a solid case before the court and do all that it takes to come out a winner, it is the career for you.
Like almost every other mode of study, law is also available in distance learning mode and most universities offer legal studies in correspondence and/or distance mode. The courses comprise of other streams of arts such as, philosophy, history, political science, literature and economics. Besides these, legal writing, public-speaking and evaluation methodologies are also taught to students. This course opens an opportunity for further studies known as LLM.
Since it allows you to study at your convenient time, pursuing a law degree course through distance learning can be a good option for you. Specializations in law include: Tax Law, Labor Law, Business Law, Civil Law etc.
