Tree Pruning

The term used in the tree care industry for pruning is “thinning”. Thinning is key to maintaining a landscape tree’s safety. It includes removal of branches that grow downward and/or cross each other, removal of deadwood, raise the canopy (as needed), and clear any structure the tree may be growing too close to. The goal, while thinning, is to preserve the natural shape of the tree as much as possible. You will have a filtered view of the sky. Most routine pruning can be done at any time of the year with little effect on the tree.

... pruned off to the same spot and the tree forms a swollen area of callous tissue (a knuckle). Some trees can tolerate this much better than others. If you have a tree that needs pollarding, give us a call.

Tree Removal

Trees are removed for any number of reasons; dead, diseased, dangerous, too big, or quite simply unwanted. Some cities do require a permit for removing trees. If you have a tree that you need removed, we have all the proper equipment to do the job safely and efficiently.

Stump Removal

If you have stumps that you want out, give us a call. Stumps are ground down about 14 inches below grade level. The hole is backfilled with the ground out debris. Stump grindings can be hauled off to grade level for an additional cost. Underground objects, close to the stump, may be damaged. A minimum three-foot clearance is needed to get our stump grinder through an open gate.

Tree Planting

Trees come in various size containers, the most common are 15-gallon and 24” box. We can plant trees up to 36” depending on accessibility. Trees are purchased through Tree Wise, installed for our customer, and come with a one-year warranty.

Consultation

We provide on site consultations to answer your specific tree questions. We can also evaluate the safety of your tree, do appraisals of your tree’s value, or provide you with arborist reports to meet city requirements. Please call our office for an appointment and cost.
