5 Signs Of Your Love For Indian Food
1. You end up asking for veg sandwich anyways
There has been much chitchat about your absolute love for Indian food. How much ever you deny it, your friends have shown you that tendency of yours. In that challenge you plan and dine out at a cafe and look through the menu for 20 mins only to order veg sandwich or finger chips (there known as french fries).
2. Your stomach does not seem full
The pleasure of different aromas and no spices does not appeal to like your acquaintances. Still, for the respect of your friends and your group you have a big basket of anything that seems ok by your company. However, you are still hungry even after so much of munching. A refreshing chhas or a simple paratha will suffice your hunger and you know it pretty well.
3. You choose the most desi place to hang out
Hang outs to you mean an udipi joint or Iranian cafe with the hinted touch of wada sambar, chatni or simply a hot refreshing chai. Although tacky it may seem to someone, you do not find any comfortable place other than a typical Indian restaurant. For you, the ambience does not matter as long ...
... as you can smell the familiar aroma of Indian spices and scrumptious Pav Bhaji coming your way.
4. You expect a complementary welcome dish
Its become habitual to you that some thing is coming our way even when you have not ordered. This isn’t just a way towards some relationship with restaurant but that added advantage you get when you order a paratha and you ask for more dahi. Instead when you enter a continental restaurant, the moment you order extra you know you are going to have to pay for it. And that’s when you miss the Indian restaurants and their traditional theories of service.
5. You stay loyal to the place
Recently your best Indian food joint has been shut down only to see the westernized cafe taking over. You never visited the restaurant anyway but you just cannot seem to bring yourself to go and hang out in the place where you cannot sense the mystical Indian spices. Your friends call you crazy but you still wish to avoid the place where you can smell black coffee and sugar cubes inside of the daily tadka of curry leaves and lemon zest coming your way.
