The cost of smartphones is considerably cheaper than laptops and personal computers. Smartphone with high specs cost less than the corresponding laptops and PCs of the premium category, while the high spec handset can perform equally well as computers. The introduction and popularity of tablets has also had a huge impact on the downsizing of the market of computers. Tablets have larger display with similar processing and memory unit despite being half the size of a laptop. The use of laptop is slowly diminishing due to the market grasp of tablets and phablets. The multifunctional handset is set to further tip the scale in favor of phones in the tech market with its ongoing advancement and technological marvel.
But there are factors that have made computers hold a firm grasp although limited to minor section of tech users. Professionals such as editors, designers and programmers cannot have their use of computers be supplemented by phones. Also normal office personnel can’t have their work done through their handset as they are considered as a tool of slacking off and handsets are not yet considered as a complete working device for clerks.
