Cost: With so many advantages, it is understood that pitched roof costs considerably more than the flat roofs. The cost also gets increased due to its complex design, usage of additional building material and extra labour required.
Foundations: Pitched roofs add more burden to the foundations of the home and may cause problems for the depth of the footing. Therefore, it is not advisable to convert a flat roof into a pitched roof.
