A school is a large organization with multiple features that need utmost apprehension and concern. Furthermore, since school administration is directly related to quality of education, the responsibility becomes more imperative and acute.
Maintenance of a proper network for education is a crucial factor that could substantiate a strong school administration. School system is an integrated network of the certification board, the exam authorities and the education community. This network should be maintained through proper and disciplined communication. A work plan can materialize a disciplined structure forming the hierarchy as well as assigning the standard set of responsibilities for each employee. A well-planned structure of operation eradicates any dependency of employees on others.
Automating the administrative system of the school is a way forward for an agile administration. Education have become integrated with Information and Communication Technology, the latter improving the former. Exclusive IT platforms can be used in schools connecting different departments and improving communication amongst the same.
These platforms are especially appropriate for large residential schools, where administrative works are more intense and diversified. Adoption of technology is a good feature that is highlighted while parents determine the best boarding school.
Internal communication and transparency in any process is the key to strong administration. There should be a system in the school to update each employees and teachers personally and form a standard communication channel. This will promote transparency in the system and working of the school. Moreover, any event, programs or regular activities such as exams, admissions and recruitment processes can be accomplished quickly and efficiently through excellent internal communication.
Education industry has become competitive and survival in this industry is now determined by the strength of the administration and the intuitiveness to handle its diversified areas. Through a strong administration, schools can ensure high standard of academics and hence, growth of students.
