Jaguar E-type Parts In London
Jaguar e-type cars manufactured by British company Land Rover are famous for sports car. Jaguar has decided to produce e-type Lightweight cars as a continuation of the first introduction between 1961 and 1975. This model is being built by jaguar heritage, part of Jaguar Land Rover’s new Special Operations division. Thesix cars will be built to the specification of the last Lightweight E-Type inventedin 1964 and will be designed at a new Heritage facility located at the home of the E-Type, Browns Lane in Coventry, England. These six cars are the 'missing' six vehicles from the 'Special GT E-Type' project, which originally started in February 1963 with the objective of building 18 cars. Only 12 of the aluminum-bodied Lightweight E-Type vehicles were eventually built and the remaining six designated chassis numbers have lain dormant, until now. The six new cars will carry these unused Lightweight E-Type chassis numbers. A race winner in the hands of a variety of famous drivers during its competitive career, the car achieved worldwide fame, and today, original examples are highly sought after. In reproducing the Lightweight E-Type, ...
... Jaguar Heritage has been able to call upon the mesmerizing skills and experience of many talented engineers and technicians currently working at the company. Many employees have historic memories with the building of the original E-Type. One employee can trace three generations of service to Jaguar, dating back to the 1960s. The expertise and attention brought to bear on this project ensures the vehicles will be authentic and built to the highest quality standards.
Shortly after the introduction of the E-Type, Jaguar producer wants to investigate the possibility of building a car more in the spirit of the D-Type racer from which elements of the E-Type's styling and design were derived. One car was built to test the concept designed as a model could only be made rigid enough for racing by using the "stressed skin" principle. Previous Jaguar racers were built as open-top cars, because they were based on ladder frame designs with independent chassis and bodies. Unlike the steel production E-Types, the manufactureris trying to use lightweight aluminium which reduces the weight by hundred kilograms against the production steel bodywork. When assigned with remaking the aluminum body, today's Jaguar engineers could relate at once to what their predecessors had achieved 50 years before. Though the suggestions of aluminum technology have been made since the decade of 1960, the decision has taken not to integrate modern materials.
As we get to know the manufacturer is making a heritage model and it will be available in the market, e-type owners should consider about the spare parts after buying the lightweights. Modified and complicated spare parts are used in e-types. So the mechanics and identification is required to maintain your car. Many shops are in London which keep the parts of Land rover and Jaguar, but e-type is a special one and needs a special care. Right place and perfect costing should be accumulated before you want to make a reconstruction.
