The vitamin A belongs to the family of similar appearing molecules like retinoids for the completing the remainders of vitamin sequence. The important part of vitamin a is retinyl group which is present in varied forms in the stores. In the animal foods the main content is vitamin A such as an ester, basically retinyl palmitate converting into alcohol in the smaller intestine. In certain products vitamin A is also present as aldehyde. Acid basically retinoic acid contains vitamin A in low amount but not showing any function in retina of the eye part of human body.

Consumer will find that all types of vitamin A contains beta-ionone ring attached by iso pronoid chain. Such structure of vitamin A is needed for vitamin activity. The consumers of vitamin A can see that the orange pigment present in the carrots-beta -carotene produces two joined retinyl group for increasing the level of vitamin A in the human body. Presently no other carotenes is carrying the vitamin A activity ability in them.

Consumers will find vitamin A in liver of beef, chicken, turkey,fish, pork; sweet potato, carrot, broccoli leaf, kale, butter , spinach, leafy vegetables, pumpkin and many more. So the role of intake of vitamin A is immense like it plays an important role in vision,gene transcription, immune function, embryonic development and reproduction, bone metabolism, haematopoiesis, skin health, and antioxidant Activity .
