Also available are the coffee plantation tours in which they’re riff in the area and the Tanzanite cultural experience, the opportunity to learn about and purchase a jewel stone a 1000 times rarer than diamond and only found in Tanzania. Arusha Town also boosts a large number and diversity of Hotels, lodges, backpackers and restaurants, providing beautiful, relaxing locations with great food and drink at very low costs.

The Maasai Tribe

The Maasai are amongst the most well known indigenous tribes known on this planet. They are one of the few tribes left that have kept their traditional ways of life. They are a unique tribe who are found to inhabit a large area from Southern Kenya down through the Maasai Mara and spread though Northern Tanzania down through the Maasai steppe. For many they live an idyllic and simplistic life style, living in close harmony with nature. They are a peaceful, kind and caring people with no destructive gene in them. This can be seen from the environment they live in, which has never been spoilt due to their sustainable living, with wildlife still abundant around them.

They have adapted to living in harsh conditions where for many months of the year there is little water. Their homes, tools and medicines are carefully and wisely extracted from the natural material that surrounds them. They feed off the live stock that they rear. To live among the Maasai even just for a short time is a truly wonderful experience and if ever the chance was to arise then it is not to be missed.
