The highly toxic jellyfish are the two out of the 19 species of jellyfish and other deadly water creatures on this planet. Also one of the two have adequate toxic in its sting to kill at least 60 adult people in less than 3 minutes!

Box jellyfish are transparent and light blue, cube-shaped creatures with four different sides, hence ...
... the name box jellyfish. With 15 tentacles on every corner which measure 3 meters, have 5000 sting cells known as nematocysts. Jellyfish shoots like a jet at the speed of 4 knots. They are found during the moist seasons along the creeks or river sides when the seas are not rough. These deadly marine creatures are not found in corals or in deep waters or near excessive weed bed or sea grass. These move in calm waters near the shore and during high tide, these move to the creeks and river mouths. It feeds on crustaceans and small fishes.

There are almost no chances of endurance if hit by its poisonous sting, except given first aid immediately. The pain that the victim experiences is overwhelming and unbearable that he/she would rather drown than swim to the shore . Vinegar is of great help to person stung by its toxic sting. It should be poured abundantly on the tentacles to destroy sting cell immediately. An individual might even need artificial respiration and rigorous massage on cardiac region. The popular box jellyfish, Chironex Fleckeri has a huge body with deadly sting. The stinging cells or nematocysts appear like little poisonous darts seen on every tentacle along the entire length. The presence of box jellyfish near the beaches prevents the swimmers to enjoy swimming. But they are permitted to only when there are safety stinger nets fitted or if they are putting highly safe specifically manufactured clothes for swimming.

Almost 3000 people were stung in the Mediterranean Sea by the deadly box jellyfish. It was believed that in per square feet area of water, there were nearly 10 jellyfish. Jellyfish usually love to stay in warmer and saltier water of vast seas, thereby giving space to swimmers. But due to global warming, the temperature change has made offshore water more salty thus diverting more jellyfish on the coastal lines and more towards your innocent legs. Be careful, the jellyfish is coming!
