There is a special day celebrated to honor fathers which is known as the fathers' day. This day is celebrated on the third Saturday of June in most of the countries of the world. In some countries, this day is celebrated on a different date. The fathers' day is celebrated in the compliment of the mother's day which is celebrated to honor mothers.

The history of the celebrating the fathers' day depicts that this special day was celebrated to compliment the mothers day in the 20th century. The main intention of this celebration was to celebrate the fatherhood and male parenting and also to give special honor to the fathers as well as forefathers. The date of celebrating the fathers' day is different in different countries but in most of the countries, the fathers are given special honors on the third Saturday of June.
