The musical achievements of Noel Gallagher can be traced back to 1991, when he first got started in the music business. As a major player in the Britpop trend that appeared during that decade, Oasis was a major name and had many fans. Many would come to know Noel and his brother Liam through the band’s album releases and singles.

Perhaps predictably, given that he always did so well with Oasis in the UK, the album achieved number one status in the UK album charts. It repeated the feat in Ireland and got into the top ten in several other countries as well. It would appear Noel Gallagher tickets are just as popular now he is in a new outfit as they were when he was part of Oasis.

At the time of writing the follow-up album, Chasing Yesterday, was due to be released, so it remains to be seen whether this will achieve results as good as the first album.
