Every now and then, Mother Nature shows us who and what she is all about. Several times a year, across the world, natural phenomena occur and blow our minds. Pictures of the best places and attractions don’t give justice. You have to seem them to really believe and experience them.

Here are the 6 of the many jaw-dropping natural wonders that you need to see before you die:

1. The Northern Lights

There is nothing more dreamlike than looking up in the sky and seeing abizarre, alien green color swirl all around you. It’s not UFO, it’s the Northern Lights. It’s out of this world and jaw-droppinglyspectacular. It only occurs in winter in really, really cold places.

2. Great Barrier Reef, Australia

The Great Barrier Reef has to be on the best nature wonders list of must see and visit. This is one of the world’s biggest living structures and it has a span of about 1430 miles. This reef is big enough to be seen from the universe! According to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, it comprises 600 types of soft and hard corals, 100 species of jellyfish, 3000 diversities of mollusks, ...
... 500 species of worms, 1625 types of fish, 133 variations of sharks and rays, and more than 30 species of whales and dolphins. Phew that’s quite a population! So, who’s ready to for an unforgettable snorkeling experience?

3. Mosi-oaTunya or Victoria Falls, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Situated on the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls is over 1.25 miles wide. Some sections of the falls reach up to 354 feet tall – quite the drop. At aprojected age of two million years old, these falls bear the native title of Mosi-oaTunya which is Kololo for “the smoke that thunders.” It was later given a new name Victoria Falls by a Scottish explorer, though we think the first name was much more fitting. Be ready to be mesmerized ladies and gentlemen because this nature is pretty sweet.

4. Cliffs of Moher, Ireland

The Cliffs of Moher are striking sight to see. They provide a great view of the Atlantic Ocean, standing 702 feet tall and stretching five miles in length. It’s no wonder over one million visitors make the trip to Ireland each year to see this wonderful specimen of nature.

5. Lauterbrunnen Valley, Switzerland

Lauterbrunneninterprets to “many fountains,” and true to its name, the valley has 72 waterfalls – take your pick! Make sure to check out the most renowned waterfall: Staubbach Falls which brags a 984 foot drop. Located in the Alps, Lauterbrunnen Valley is also one of the largest nature conservation areas in Switzerland.

6. Fairy Pools, Isle of Skye, Scotland

Fairy Pools, Isle of Skye, Scotland sounds magical doesn’t it? The Isle of Skye is actually off the west coast of Scotland, and hiking through its amazing landscape will let visitors to see the Fairy Pools. These pools feature crystal clear water that perfectly mirrors the blue sky. What a magical sight to behold!
