Beach or Pool

It is completely safe to take your pet to the beach or pool, but be sure to provide ample shade for pets and rinse dogs off after being in salt water. If you take a pet on a long road trip, keep it hydrated and make frequent stops for walking and using the bathroom.

Exercise
During summer exercise, the body temperature rises faster than heat is dissipated. Be sure to cut back on exercise during the heat of the day and limit exercise to the early morning or late evening.
