Duracell AA battery is a dry cell battery which is commonly used in portable electronic devices. This battery type was standardized by ANSI in 1947 and was designated E91 by DIN and AM3 by JIS. In the international market, the IEC designated it as LR6 (alkaline), R6 (carbon-zinc), KR157/51 (nickel-cadmium), HR6 (nickel-metal-hydride) and FR6 (lithium-iron-disulfide). The other names for this battery include MN1500 and HP7.
