9 to 5 on Broadway is a new musical show based on an 80's movie. The movie portrays three women that live in their fantasy world and get even with their sexist and egotistical boss, Franklin Hart Jr.

The movie became a huge hit and was the highest grossing comedy in 1980. It is also ranked on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies" in the Top Fifty. "9 to 5" is the theme song of the Broadway show which was a very popular hit for Dolly Parton herself. "Heart to Hart" is another number that is performed by Roz, played by Kathy Fitzgerald. In this scene, Fitzgerald professes her obsessive love to Mark Kudisch's character, Hart.

This musical is a hilarious story about revenge and friendship, and the three leading ladies' fantasies about destroying their boss, Hart. While Roz is secretly in love with Hart, she tries to get Judy, Violet and Doralee out of her way and out of the office. The characters' performance fills the audience with a variety of emotions and a strong connection.

The Associated Press said this Broadway show was "a certified-crowd pleaser." Daily News said Parton's score was "bouncy, big-hearted, fresh and original." 9 to 5 will start launching September 21, 2010 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center before it moves on to other cities nationwide.
