As a tropical island located near the European region, it is on the expensive side but you will have a good time experiencing all the activities and adventures on these endless sandscapes. Mellieha Bay
Located 2 kilometers away from the town of its name sake, spacious bay is one of the most popular Malta beaches. With waters that are sufficiently shallow and extensive sands make for a perfect family outing on this beach. Located near the North West coastline, the Ghajn Tuffieha bay is connected to a fertile valley from the area of St. Paul’s Bay. This beach can only be accessed by a long length of steps that is overlooked by a 17th century watch tower. Although it has a perfectly isolated location and a perfect sandy rustic surrounding, it is not as popular as the beach of the Golden Bay which is most popular for barbecue parties especially during full moon nights.
Ramla Bay, Gozo
The Ramla Bay is one of the most beautiful and largest Malta beaches. Popularly visited due the location of the Calypso Cave, it can be only accessed by a steep pathway with an alternate route through another road. This bay lies amidst a picturesque surrounding that is flanked by lush and abundant vegetation that thrives on the hillside. The endless fine golden sand washed ashore by the blue shallow waters makes for a perfect and child safe trip over here. This beach is the best place for wind surfing along with other various water activities. Although suitably popular, transportation is very restrictive here, although it can be easily accessed by car hire in Malta. Alternatively, it can be accessed by a footpath near the Calypso Cave.
