Quran is the central religious text of Islam and sacred to over one billion Muslims worldwide. It literally means “the declamation” which Muslims believe to be a revelation from God. The revelation was given over a period of decades, and each verse has a particular historical and scriptural context. The most imperative part of Quran is that Allah has promised that he will preserve it, until the end of time and that promise doesn’t apply to anything else.

The truth is that which is brought exactly in The Holy Quran where the meaning of the message as well as the words is directly from the Almighty Allah himself. Muslims turn to Holy Book not only for worship and prayer, but also to understand the origin of their relationship with God.

It is plausible that one wanting to learn about a faith would start by reading its most holy text. For some Muslim people, the Quran can be arduous to sit down and read from cover to cover. The themes of this holy book are knitted among the chapters, and the book is not in chronological order. It challenges the reader to think about its message, speculate its meaning, and ...
... accept it with understanding rather than blind faith.

Before embarking on a study of this holy book, one has to begin to understand its message by gaining the basic knowledge of the faith. This will be a foundation from where to start, and some understanding the terminology and the message of this holy book. As you become mature in understanding of the Muslim faith, you may come across more questions, or more topics you want to study. The prophet Muhammad told his followers to pursue your study to the farthest reaches of the earth.

The original text of Quran in Arabic language has remained unchanged in that language, since the time of its revelation. If the beginners do not read Arabic, it is necessary to have a translation, which is at best an interpretation of the Arabic meaning. Translations may fluctuate in their style and their faithfulness to the Arabic original.

It is always advisable to read the commentary that each verse has to understand what lies underneath and the connecting facts of the specific story that is being recited. Each chapter is connected to each other and therefore, it is important to understand the underlying message that the Almighty has delivered.
