Irritable Bowel Syndrome - Diet To Be Followed!
Irritable bowel syndrome is a condition wherein your bowels do not function properly. It is this state that leads to the various symptoms that people experience. This can be triggered by various factors such as stress, medications, treatments, certain type of food etc. Food which is high in fat content, alcoholic beverages, highly acidic food substances, unprocessed food products and meat products do not get digested fast and these aggravate the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome or IBS. It is advised that people should avoid such food products.
It has also been revealed from studies that stress contributes to worsening the IBS conditions and its symptoms may increase. The very fact that he has IBS may cause stress and fear in him which might augment the bowel problem. Stress should be relieved at the earlier stage through safer modes of treatment such as yoga, meditation, reiki or acupuncture.
Are you wondering what should be part of your diet to prevent or reduce the symptoms of IBS? Always, reduce food products that over-stimulate the digestive system, improve your fiber intake, develop healthy eating habits ...
... that are good for your digestive system as well as your body. Avoid food that does not digest fast such as alcoholic beverages, Carbonated drinks, dairy products, red meat, fatty food items such as fried items, French fries, chocolate, artificial sweetness and coffee. Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits, cereals, whole grain bread, kidney beans, water and other liquids such as fruit juices. Avoid citrus fruits too. Eat food rich in fibre content so that it eases out your digestive problems.
Probiotic bacteria or gut bacteria helps fight diseases. It not only helps in keeping your immune and digestive system in balance but in addition to this it relieves you from constipation. Irritable bowel syndrome is the irritation of intestinal receptors that results in the functional disorder of the colon. It often occurs due to sugar, fatty acid, lactose, purgatives, alimentary agents and infections caused by dysbacteriosis etc. Eat plenty of natural yoghurt, containing live Lactobacillus bacteria during your treatment. These bacteria help to replenish the stocks of friendly bacteria in the large intestine and may lessen some of the effects of the treatment.
Gut bacteria may fight the disease causing bacteria or sometimes may by itself cause disease. Gut microbes affect the organ in which they live; indeed, bacteria in the gut send signals to various stomach and intestinal cells. It may result in irritable bowel syndrome. However, the actual cause for IBS is not certain.
